Financial Counsellors Association TASMANIA

The Financial Counsellors Association Tasmania (FCAT) is the professional body for Financial Counsellors in Tasmania.  Financial Counsellors are, by definition, independent and do not charge a fee for service.

FCAT’s role is to support the financial counselling profession in Tasmania. We set the professional development and supervision requirements for financial counsellors and provide training and networking opportunities for members. FCAT also advocates on behalf of the clients of financial counsellors for a fairer marketplace that will prevent financial problems in the first place.

FCAT is an incorporated association and is governed by a management committee elected on an annual basis. All members of the management committee undertake their roles in a voluntary capacity.

FCAT is a member of Financial Counselling Australia, the peak body for financial counsellors in Australia.
